This policy explains, in plain language, what gogee gogee (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the control you have. It applies to the gogee gogee mobile app and related services.
What we collect
Your account details (email, name, avatar, home airport). What you plan, save, book, and ask Billie. The places you visit when you turn on Trail. Photos, posts, and messages you create. And basic device and usage info to keep the app running.
How we use it
To plan trips, make and manage your bookings, power Billie’s suggestions, sync your data across your devices, send the notifications you ask for, and keep the app safe. We do not sell your data.
Location & the Trail
Maps and “nearby” use your location while the app is open. Beacon Trail and Explore can track your location in the background — only on trips you opt into — to remember the places you visit so you can re-live them later. Your trail is private to you, and you can switch it off any time in Settings, per trip.
Bookings & payments
When you book a flight, hotel, activity, or table, we pass what the supplier needs (names, dates, contact, traveler details) to that supplier — Duffel, LiteAPI, Viator, or OpenTable — and their terms apply. Payments are processed by Stripe or Apple; we never store your full card number.
AI features
Billie is powered by Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI. To answer you, we send the relevant trip details, messages, and — if you use them — the photos or voice you provide. OpenAI also screens public posts for safety and transcribes voice notes. Your inputs are not used to train their models.
Who we share with
Only the providers that run the app: Supabase (database), Stripe and Apple (payments), Duffel / LiteAPI / Viator / OpenTable (bookings), Anthropic and OpenAI (AI), Google (maps, places, sign-in), Expo (push notifications), and Resend (email) — plus Wikipedia, OpenStreetMap, and Open-Meteo for places, maps, and weather. Each receives only what it needs.
Connections you authorize
If you connect Gmail, Calendar, Slack, or another account, we access only what you approve and store those tokens encrypted. Disconnect any time in Settings → Connections.
Posts, friends & messages
Public posts are visible to everyone; friends-only posts and direct messages are visible only to the people you share them with. You can edit or delete your content, block users, and report anything. Public content is moderated.
How we protect it
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, connection tokens are encrypted with AES-256, and access is scoped so you only ever see your own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously.
Keeping & deleting
We keep your data while your account is active. Delete any memory, post, or trip whenever you like. Delete your whole account in Settings → Profile → Delete Account and we wipe your data within 30 days (some records may be kept longer where the law requires).
Your rights
Export everything. Delete everything. Ask what we hold. Depending on where you live you may have extra rights under the GDPR or CCPA. Email gogeex2@gmail.com and we respond within 30 days.
Children
gogee gogee is not for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we make a meaningful change, we will update this page and the date above and let you know in the app.
